THe GNN
The GNN is a page named after the creative idea my Dad came up with called the"Good News Network". A place where positive stories would be shared rather than the negative ones that the news always seems to highlight. Posts made are centered around the power of happy stories and the importance of restoring faith in mankind.
The Pass of a Hat, and the Luck of the Draw

On Saturday afternoon before the rain storms headed in Nick had a tire malfunction. He ran into a curb while trying to catch his hat that was going to fly out his car window( yep you read that right ). It happened in the right spot. A group of 20 men were in the parking lot of a funeral home paying tribute( to their friend who passed away. When Nick got out of the car to access the damage the men walked over to help him. Nick had his phone in his hands and he was ready to call me. The men told him to put the phone down because he would probably get yelled at ( they were probably right) and they told him they had him and he could tell us after. The group of guys helped Nick by guiding him to change the tire on his own. He didn’t even know where the spare was. Nick said it was the coolest group of engineers about my age and he was grateful to them for making him change the tire on his own. He posed for selfies and took group pics with the men and they told Nick how proud their buddy would be of them for helping him. One of the men even gave Nick his phone number in case he had trouble getting to the gas station to fill up his spare that was low. In a world so full of negative I’m grateful for the men who helped Nick. There are still good people in this world. I wish I could thank them all personally. May God ease their pain as they grieve the loss of their friend.
Ps Nick didn’t get yelled at. We told him next time to just let the hat go because it’s replaceable, he isn’t.

Update! Nick was at a Grad party this past weekend. A friend walked out to his car as they were leaving and he had a flat tire! Nick helped him change the tire because he knew how and his friend never had to change one!
Thank you Michelle Pierce for allowing me to forward this story, it made me smile as I am sure it will others:)
